Morocco Mall (Angle Boulevard de la Corniche / Boulevard de L’Ocean Ain Diab, Casablanca) – for locals tired of the old school markets (souks) and want a taste of a modern western-style shopping center, this is a welcome break. Inaugurated in 2011 by the Moroccan royal family and even a performance by Jennifer Lopez, this mall has over 600 retailers, including some luxury brands like Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Prada, as well as more modestly-priced international brands like American Eagle, Banana Republic, and Lacoste (reputedly making this the largest shopping mall in Africa). Various amenities are also found – from a department store (Galeries Lafayette) to a supermarket (Marjane), FNAC (CDs and electronic store) and recognizable eateries like Burger King and KFC and finer restaurants.
